Coptic Orphans is thrilled to announce the launch of The 21: the gift of a life-changing trip to Egypt where you, as a Coptic young adult, will discover heritage, serve the children, and unite with your people; and in doing so, transform the future of Copts.

The program is named as a tribute to the 21 martyrs of Libya, who embody the fortitude, faith, and courage that is the Coptic victory and pride.

The 21’s mission is to give every young Coptic adult who lives outside Egypt from the ages of 18-23 the opportunity to serve in Egypt. We believe that young adults of the diaspora can best learn about their heritage and faith through the power of service.

The three-week trip will begin at the end of June and will comprise of both teaching English and serving children in our programs.

The program has an added emphasis on historical sites that are central to the Coptic Orthodox faith. It’s also a free trip—the only cost you have to pay is the application fee, any visa expenses, and a deposit that will be returned to you at the completion of the trip. Your flights, meals, transportation, and other accommodations are all on us!

Have more questions? See our Frequently Asked Questions for more detail. Space is limited as the trip is in high demand, so hurry and send in your application before the deadline on April 1!

We’re thrilled to start this program and we can’t wait to see how you thrive after this once-in-a-lifetime experience. By God’s grace, we will see the future generations of Copts continue to share our rich history and faith for years to come.
