Support
the Emergency Housing Fund: Respond to urgent housing
needs of children who need a safe, secure, and stable place
to call home. Last year, Coptic Orphans spent US$21,049.00 to
make critical repairs and improvements of the homes of 28 fatherless
children.
The
costs for each home ranged from US$121 to US$2318, and addressed
crucial issues such as collapsing roofs, securing a home with
a door, proper installation of electricity so children can study
at home, or providing a sanitary and private toilet. Where feasible,
the family and a local community partner contribute to repairs
with whatever resources they can, leveraging your support.
Your
Report will include before and after pictures with a description
of each situation and the amount spent on repairs.

a Valuable Girl Project site: Promote positive self-esteem,
academic achievement, and civil and social rights amongst girls
and young women between the ages of six and twenty-two who are
at risk of dropping out of school in some of the poorest areas
of Egypt.
Young
women in secondary school are paired
with girls in primary school in a one-on-one mentoring relationship,
and meet together at a designated site several times a week
to go over homework together and attend tailored workshops to
help them overcome social, civil, and personal obstacles.
Through
the Valuable Girl Project, girls are able to access vital and
age-appropriate information on subjects such as reproductive
health, the dangers of early marriage, and FGM in a safe and
appropriate environment, while learning how they can play an
important role in shaping their lives and that of their communities,
for the better. Sponsorship will provide the facility, needed
supplies, and resources to support approximately 70 girls at
a single project site for a year.
Your
Report will include:
A description of the community where the site is located
The number and ages of the girls participating at the location
Photos of homework sessions and quotes from some of the girls
on how their involvement has impacted their lives

and inspire imaginations of children by letting each of them

Your
